A space where people connect, create, celebrate and feel part of a wider community. To ensure these spaces remain welcoming, safe and inclusive for all, the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport has launched a comprehensive suite of Safe & Sound policy templates designed specifically for Irish nighttime businesses.

Developed as part of the national Safe & Sound communications campaign and its online training programme.
these templates support a broad range of venues and services operating after dark - including pubs, restaurants, hotels, nightclubs, theatres, cultural spaces, festivals, gyms and taxis. For the first time, businesses across the country now have access to 17 policies tailored to the Irish legislative context, Irish cultural norms and real frontline operational demands.

Beyond training modules, the initiative also provides a growing bank of practical resources to help businesses embed best practice, support staff, and provide a safe experience for the public.
This national effort has been led by Ireland’s nine Nighttime Economy Advisors, developed in partnership with Nighttime Economy Solutions (NTES), a global leader in nighttime economy innovation, and funded by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport through the Nighttime Economy Pilot Project.
