In February 2023, we partnered with the City of Westminster to deliver a suite of Women’s Night Safety Training programmes for employees and business owners across the borough. This initiative forms a key part of Westminster’s Night Safety Programme, a pioneering approach designed to create safer public spaces and nightlife experiences for women.
The Night Safety Programme in Westminster has a clear vision: to improve safety—and perceptions of safety—for all women in the evening and night-time economy (ENTE). The programme encourages sustainable action among local businesses, residents, and visitors, promoting behavioural change in perpetrators and fostering a culture of accountability. By embedding these principles into training and business practices, Westminster aims to set an innovative, inclusive precedent for tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in public spaces.
