Building Safer Spaces: Sony Music Venue’s Vulnerability Management Strategy

At NTES, we believe that safety in nightlife is about more than compliance—it’s about care. Some time ago, we had the privilege of delivering our Vulnerability Management Training at Sony Music Venue, supporting their team in creating safer, more inclusive spaces for staff, artists, and visitors alike.

What it focussed on:

The training focused on three key areas:

Recognition – Helping staff spot early signs of vulnerability, including distress, intoxication, or potential exploitation.
Response – Providing clear, consistent intervention pathways that prioritise dignity, empathy, and safety.
Culture – Embedding safeguarding practices into everyday operations, so that care and responsibility become second nature across the team.

Through interactive sessions, practical scenarios, and tailored guidance, the training equipped Sony Music Venue staff to act with confidence and compassion. It reinforced not only their duty of care but also the broader importance of fostering safer nightlife environments.
